If you would like to donate towards the fabric and work of the church, please scan this QR code with your smartphone St Luke’s Church is over 850 years old. It has Norman arches, a 13th century tower, a 14th century font and a quilt sewn in the 1980s. We at St Luke’s are proud of our ancient church which continues to serve the community. It is Grade 1 listed, and in the last four years we have made major repairs to the chancel roof to keep out the rain, removed the redundant cast iron radiators, fitted a new kitchen in the vestry and had major work carried out on the organ. Currently we are working on repairing the cast iron guttering on the north side, making more substantial repairs to the organ and replacing some of the crumbling ironstone on the tower. We thank you for your support.

Upper Broughton

Upper Broughton is a small village situated on the Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire border in the East Midlands, UK. With a population of some 300 people it is a small, friendly community on the edge of the Vale of Belvoir. Occupying a hill-top position, the village has commanding views over wide open countryside as far as Belvoir Castle. On a clear day you can even see Lincoln Cathedral. Once a farming stronghold Upper Broughton is now mainly a commuter village. Well situated for Leicester, Nottingham, Melton Mowbray, Loughborough and surrounding areas. Original Bailey's Melton Mowbray Pork Pies were once made in the village.
